The new Cool Hand Looc
Well, it had to happen I suppose. The Grim Reaper of the year-long 35th Anniversary World Shaker Tour finally took his toll and, like many others before them, the trio that was Cool Hand Looc paid the price for being too close for too long.
Sadly, Roger has left the band, for reasons of "Musical Differences", leaving just Ian and Jonno to carry the flame. "You complete doofus, Jonno" cried Roger "EVERYONE knows a minim minus a dotted crotchet is a quaver". "I don't care if it's an effing semibreve, you basso plonker" replied Jonno "Just get on with it - play allegretto grazioso not larghissimo - what you're doing is simply laughable - it just doesn't add up". And so it went on.
Happily, though, gig-wise it's business as usual and the remaining Legendary Looc Brothers will continue to ride the prairie of Country Rock until they drop.
In fact, their stirrups are loaded with a lot of new material which they hope will surprise, shock and maybe even entertain you.
So don't despair, live music is not dead. Support the boys, and as they say « Sois là, ou sois Ringard ». "You what?" demanded Ian "What's that in English, er, I mean, Scottish, you softie Sassenach git?". "Be there, or be Square" of course - so be there... please.
